Dhuha Alkhdhairi is an Iraqi-Austrian artist and designer based in Vienna, whose work is deeply inspired by the rich heritage of Iraq and Arabian culture, particularly its ancient architecture, calligraphy, and traditional folk art. Her art blends fantasy and hope, creating a dialogue between cultures and preserving the past through a modern lens.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from the Academy of Fine Arts in Baghdad (1998), Alkhdhairi has developed a distinctive style that bridges history with contemporary aesthetics. Her artwork is a testament to cultural heritage, combining traditional elements with vibrant modern colors to tell compelling stories of memory and identity.

Artistic Journey & Expertise

Beyond fine art, Alkhdhairi is also a professional graphic designer and illustrator, bringing her artistic vision to various creative fields, including branding, digital illustration, and visual storytelling. Her expertise allows her to craft unique designs that seamlessly blend cultural authenticity with modern aesthetics.

She is the co-founder and Creative Director of Souv Souvenir, a Toronto-based brand dedicated to crafting unique souvenirs that celebrate both Canadian and Arabian heritage. Each piece she designs reflects the artistic traditions of both cultures, weaving symbols and narratives into meaningful creations.
